What I publish

  • All Japanese short-forms traditional, modern, revolutionary, and experimental in the form of a free-to-read e-book.

What I'm looking for

  • Manuscripts by womxn, including non-binary, and transwomxn on social issues, womxnhood, discovering your worth, erotica, memoirs in verse, etc.

  • Japanese short-form books you wouldn't see anywhere else.

  • If you're uncertain as to if your work would be a good fit, please read a few issues of #FemkuMag, the affiliated platform to Title IX. 


Reading Period​

  • March 1 - May 31

  • September 1 - November 30

A manuscript should have:

  • Between 30 and 60 poems. I will help you make final decisions and order the pieces in your book to create a story line.

  • Clear breaks between poems.

  • A consistent and legible font, preferably 12 pt. Times New Roman, or something similar.

  • A title. However, if you're unsure about a title, we can work together to come up with one.

  • Dedication (if applicable), bio, and publication credits.

Other Guidelines

  • Subject should include: your name - title of manuscript - the date

    • ex. Minor - inkblots - January 1, 2019​

  • Please attach your manuscript as a word document. If there is unique formatting that could be lost in transition, please attach your manuscript as a word document and a PDF.

  • If your manuscript contains haiga, or other images, please attach them as high resolution JPEGs.

  • Please submit once per reading period.

  • Full manuscripts must be previously unpublished, but published individual poems are encouraged! Unpublished work is fine too.

  • All e-books will be published as free-to-read and can be found under the "Library" tab on this website.
